Purple Manta was born in the Andaman Islands with a simple idea: to transform ocean memories into everyday objects. We don’t just design products inspired by the ocean; we create reminders of the moments that make us fall in love with it. A first dive, a Manta gliding overhead, salt on your skin after a day at sea. The friendships formed on a dive boat. We hope that every piece brings a little of the ocean’s calm into your everyday, wherever you are.
It all began in 2024 with a casual conversation at the airport while returning from a dive trip. That’s where our founders – Prachi, Manasa, and Mouni – dreamed of creating something for people who feel the same pull towards the sea. What started as a small offline store in the Andamans has grown into a brand for a global community of divers, ocean lovers, surfers, sailors, beach wanderers, and anyone who feels at home by the water.
Our in-house designs begin with a story. Sometimes they’re inspired by a memorable dive, a marine encounter, or a quiet moment on the shore. From a rough sketch, each idea evolves through multiple rounds of refinement, feedback, and product sampling before becoming something we’re proud to share. We believe meaningful design takes time, creating original products that feel personal, timeless, and worth holding on to.
We’re guided by curiosity and quality, with a little playfulness along the way. We design thoughtfully, we create in small batches, celebrate the little moments, and believe the best stories usually begin with saying “yes” to one more adventure.
